I played a new machine at the Palms recently, and it stopped on an empty cylinder. It refused to pay or play until that cylinder was filled. No less than six floor personnel, including the slot manager, watched while a female employee climbed up on the stand and started filling the tubes. I could not tell if the empty tube was the one that dispensed my win. Again, the machine was very liberal with the old strikes.
