Pete - I just heard back from my friend who deals in old slots and he says the reason the old strike machines aren't being resold is that IGT didn't make or own the original machines, they were Sigma machines that IGT aquired some how and certain people are saying because of the legal problems the old machines will be destroyed. There might be somebody who has an in with someone at IGT but I would bet that IGT will never allow the old machines or parts to be bought by anybody. As far as IGT goes they could care less about making a few dollars or makeing a few people happy if it met there might be a legal problem.
If my slot guy finds out anything different I will pass on the imfo when and if I get it.
One other thing, I tried a few years ago to get a Wheel of Fortune machine but one couldn't be had due to the legal problems of selling a machine that had certain agreements attached to it.
