We all know the new machines were due in at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. Last night there were no strike machines at all, and tonight there were two new ones. The first machine, by McDonalds was in use, but not by a striker. So, where were the strikers tonight?? The second machine (middle one) was available, and shortly into my play, a floor manager was showing 8 other floor personnel how the new machines worked. The machines are the standard as we know them: one win symbol on the right, and 3 doubles to the $500 jackpot.
The bad news: the strikes are still the old ones - but in the new larger cases. New strikes are not due in until December according to two different floor personnel.
The good news - for me - the machine was extremely generous for strikes and payoffs. The first $40 yielded 5 strikes, a pair of red 7's with a double, three bars with a double, 15 single bars payout and many cherries. Now this is not what I have heard from players at other casinos. I couldn't stay long but the final tally was 10 strikes for $20. I hope all of you do as well. Perhaps the Palms is trying to get rid of their old strikes by offering the players a better deal. The payout is adjustable as I understand. I look forward to the comments of other players of these new machines at the Palms.
