Don,
For what reason was this person denied entrance to the trade session. Was it because this person wasn't a member of the silverstrike club or did this person do something wrong.
I believe that no person should be denied entry to a trade session or regular club meeting; "without just cause or reason". And not being a silverstrike club member is neither, of the above.
I have always thought that the silverstriking collecting hobby. Was for the enjoyment of anybody interested in silverstrikes. NOT, just a select person or group of people.
I know several silverstrike collectors; who donot belong to the club. But, they enjoy collecting just as much as I do. And want to and do sometimes attend silverstrike events.
However I do relize, that some of these events. Do cost money to put on. And for non-members or anybody to "ride on the club members shirt tails" so to speak. Is not fair to the paying club members. So, a small entry fee to non-members who are in attendence to a club sponsored event. Just enough to cover the cost of the non-member attending the event(s), might be in order.
Personally I believe a collector is much better off, belonging to the club. But, for what ever reason, some collectors donot think so.
Don, maybe you or sombody else can better "enlighten " me on this subject.
Dan
