I just sent an email to the President of our club a copy of that email is below. What is you opinion of the subject matter?
Hello Don,
About five or six days ago there was a post on the Strikepoint requesting information on the trade session at the tournament. It has not been answered yet and I think it deserves some attention. I was surprised to learn last year that someone had been denied entrance to our trade session. Later the more I thought about it and discussed it with other members the more angry I got. The general consensus from most of whom I talked to was that no one should be denied entrance to our trade sessions ever. I don't think it promotes any good will and it sure doesn't help bring in any new members. In my opinion neither the club meeting nor trade session should be closed to members only. (This is not a secret society.) I don't think it is in our bylaws nor to our advantage to have such a policy.
I would appreciate if you would answer this post if you can find time and I hope you give it a lot of thought. We (club members) should never be denied the opportunity to trade with anyone especially at a public tournament attended by non members. I am including a link to the message. hope it works.
