I would point out that membership roster figures and active collectors may not be the same thing. There are many spouses who are members of the Silver Strikers and many collectors who specialize in only certain items, thus reducing the number that may be interested in certain strikes and also there are those who are not members who may be interested. However, if you look at the bidding on current hard-to-get items you certainly are not going to see 400 bidders, or 200 or even 100. Once in awhile something may get 20 or more bids, but not very often, and then there would be multiple bids by the same bidder. Recently a "Rockettes" reported to be one of the premium Silver Strikes around could not even get one bid on eBay at $699.50, far below what would be considered "book" value. As for the Reno Blues there is a current thread that is interesting and my suggestion is if you want them use your frequent flyer miles...Peter
