Jerry; First of all, I don't totally accept your premise that ""Strikes are considered tokens, souvenirs or keepsakes, as for a remembrance from your vacation." I'm sure that the Gaming Control Board does not look at silver strikes in the same light that you do. Silver Strikes are REDEEMABLE PRIZE TOKENS that are dispensed in leiu of coin and are governed by GCB regulations.

As for your thinking ... "I feel that if nothing is said or done we will be looking at another ATLANTIC CITY!!!"
That scenario may come about whether strikers attempt to do something about it or not.

Strike machines were pulled from A.C. casinos for several reasons. The number one reason was as a result of COMPLAINTS from players who complained about machines jamming; COMPLAINTS about frequency and delays of getting fills delivered to the empty hopper strike machines; and COMPLAINTS from players about long lines at cashiers booths to cash in silver strikes and tokens in general.

To rid themselves of these complaints, casinos in A.C. simply removed the offending problem from their premises. Why do you suppose casinos have recently switched over to TITO (Ticket In Ticket Out)? It was due to reducing intensive labor costs and reduction of complaints from customers.

Keep in mind ... all silver strike machine players are not necessarily strike collectors.
