I'm very confused about the Hall of Fame process. I searched this message board and found that there were 20 strikes nominated on this board at the end of May and early June. When I asked about what happened to the HOF awhile back on this board (thinking there must be some upcoming voting activity), the answer was to wait for the next club newsletter.
Well, I just got the club newsletter and see that it says that due "to the lack of interest in participating in this Club function; NO strikes were placed in the 'Silver Strike Hall fo Fame' during the 2004 convention. Members are urged to participate in these programs." But then it asks us to vote on placing the Club strike into the Hall of Fame, which has been nominated by the officers.
I'm supportive of the Club strike entry even though that was not nominated prior to the convention to my knowledge (at least I didn't see it here on the board), but I'm confused as to why members aren't also getting to vote on the 20 other strikes that were nominated on time? Were the nominations on this board not official? I must be missing something here. What's up? Jo or Don, can you clarify?
