Hi Dennis, The first GDC mint had a dull finish and was in the machines for quite a long time. The postion of the hotel/casino was slightly different on the strike from the "mirror" finish strike. As the Flamingo's policy was to recycle any strikes that were redeemed you might win any of the series and variety when you played the machine. It was always my experience that the Flamingo Laughlin machines were quite loose and it was not unusual to win 4 or 5 strikes for a $20 bill. Oh but for the "good ole' days"! I understand from "scuttlebutt" that there was actually a Flamingo Laughlin "CT" mint strike that was never issued for play but supposedly there are 3 of them in collectors' hands. Does anybody out there actually have one of these CT strikes? If so it would be great to see a scan of it posted!..................regards...........Dick
