Not sure what might have happened when you bib but I placed a bid with a higher max then the current amount needed to become the current high bidder and my max bid wasn't reveled just the amount it took to become the high bidder.
Not sure why Ebay changed things but Jackpot has always showed the bid amounts as soon as they are placed.
