Thanks Norm. Your response is consistent what I would have guessed. Most people who know about Jackpot are probably avid collectors, and most of them already have the commons...so the demand for commons is probably lower on Jackpot. But in general, that group will also bid higher on hard-to-find strikes, whether it be Jackpot or eBay.
Fees will be lower on Jackpot, but I just wonder if the availability of sniping programs for eBay would allow the price on those rare strikes to rise more at the end of the auction there since people can leave a proxy bid without interim bidding (or maybe it's the other way around, as the sniping software allows bidders to avoid bidding up the auction prior to the last minute).
I know some folks on this message board sell on both sites, so it would be interesting to hear from them.
