The intent of the color capsules was to draw attention to a special strike, special in that it was a design in which a limited number were produced for some reason (normally to increase play on the machine in which they were placed). Keep in mind that ALL the strikes are of a limited production (how do I know, It says so right on the strike). It becomes a question of limited relative to what! The strikes which have been released in colored capsules have been produced in quantities of 100, 125, 250, 500, 750, 777 and a 1000. At the same time there has been two different strikes limited to 50 which were in clear capsules.
Bottom line is DO NOT PAY A PREMIUM BECAUSE THE CAPSULE IS COLORED. Pay a price relative to what the strike is worth at the time you buy it. Now IF IT IS A STRIKE WHICH CAME IN A COLORED CAPSULE BUT IS NOT IN THE CORRECT COLORED CAPSULE …..MAYBE, PAY A LITTLE LESS. However, remember you can make a capsule any color you want. As you can see the color has nothing to do with quantity, dates or location of the strike. Quantity, number per hopper, degree of difficulty to get and desirability determine the price of the strike. (Supply and demand)

There have only been two yellow cap and they are way more expensive than any of the other colors.
