I don't think that the average cost has changed very much but I do think that the negative swings will be larger and longer due to two factors. One is that they have $40 strikes and you will not win a strike as frequently and the other reason is the line pays are much greater which means this money has to be lost back to keep the average cost per strike at the level the casino desires. Just imagine playing the $40 strike machine at Caesars on $100. You will frequently use the $100 in credits without winning a strike.

When other casino place their machines without the $40 strikes you will see a more consistent payout of strikes, although the swings will still be greater than the current machines.

Remember from a previous post:

If you see someone getting mugged, look the other way and pretend you don't hear their screams for help.

I think this also applies to the new machines.
