Archie - I am aware of how the dies are set and it was this I was pointing out, if one of the dies was loose the affect in the picture should have showed the problem to some degree 180 degrees opposite on the same side.
Since my last post another collector friend called to say she found one like it in her collection, it isn't the same logo but is from the same casino, in talking and doing some checking it is thought that it could be some sort of chemical transfer because it isn't a toning shadow or a die error as the ghosting isn't raised or sunk it is a dead smooth surface. A bit of cleaner was tried as well as a polishing cloth and neither did anything to remove the ghosting.
This could remain a mystery for sometime.
