Please take look at the scanned strike on the link below. Can anyone please tell me how the ghost or shadow lettering happened? The ghosting is in the metal, not a reflection, and is not raised. It is smooth where the ghosting occurred. If I were looking at a US coin I would almost say that it was a Double Die Error. Thanks for looking.
