I gotta put my two cents in here. B.S.!!! When they hand search 65 year old men and women it is for show and nothing more. National Guard troops standing around with unloaded weapons is nothing but for show. I have worked at an airport for 35 years and am disgusted with the B.S. that is being put up on the travling public in the name of security. The "suits" in charge are a bunch of over educated idiots that are afraid to call a spade a spade. I believe the chinese have it right when they say if you look like a young Arab or you are from the countries involved you can take a bus. Hand seaching grandma from Iowa is not making our airlines more secure. To heck with worrying about someones feeling. They can "profile" the type that is causing the problem and keep them on the ground or ship them in a kennel.
