While I agree with you, that different lettering, means a different strike, someone else might decide for their purposes, they don't care for variations.

With frosted vs not frosted, the dividing line is even slimmer. They are virtually the same strike? Maybe people would want the frosted because they are earlier production. Some others might want the smoother because they shine more.

The copper colored vs the normal brass color, I can see as a clear difference again.

What I'm getting at, is for the basis of a catalog or guide, they should all be listed. For each collector, it's their own choice.
