Robert-I have taken strikes, both $10's and $200's on board in my carry on bag on many occassions at McCarran and the only situation you will encounter is that they will not pass through the scanners unnoticed. I have even told the operators ahead of time that there were tokens inside but they still will pull you over and do a hand search of the bag and most likely examine the strikes. Just a fact of life these days in this great world we all live in. I certainly would NOT pack them in my checked luggage. I know that some collectors package the strikes before leaving and ship them via UPS or FedEx. Not quite comfortable with that scenario though so I put up with the "search" game. If you also collect casino matchbooks, be aware that there is some stupid TSA Regulation that limits the number you may bring back or so the screeners told me. If memory serves me I think the number is 12 that you are allowed. Any amount over that will be confiscated. Go figure, magic 12...
