James - It would seem that for some reason collectors think that a strike from Vegas with a mintage of 100 is worth $500 plus and when it comes to the rest of the Nevada strikes with a mintage of 100 or less they don't want to pay the same amount or they just won't collect anything but Vegas strikes.
With only 100 of each design from the Sundowners last set one would figure they would bring $300 or so per strike but it remains to be seen what the market will bring. One thing for sure about the last Sundowners is that there will never be 100 complete sets put together due to the amount that went home with the bus groups.
There hasn't been but one full set offered in auction that I have seen and I think it was the timing on that set that lead to no bids. I see there is a set up on Jackpot as singles and they seem to be getting a lot of interest.
I do belive that at the convention anybody who has a full set of Sundowners for sale will be asking $1500 plus and I think they will sell but who knows for sure.
