When I launched my Web site several years ago, my goals were to offer consumers a wealth of information, as well as a place to vent and give and receive advice from others. For that reason, we set up the message boards. But over the years, several users have decided to use the message boards as a place to publicly harass and demean others for no good reason. Many users have left the boards all together because they come to get help and only get bashed for asking questions.
There will be differences of opinion, I know. But the childish, attention-seeking behavior has gone too far. I ask each of you using the message boards to take the high road when it comes to these abusive posters. I don't believe in censorship, so I'm not taking the drastic measures I could to curtail this behavior. Instead, I'm leaving it up to you all. If there is a person on the message boards making cruel remarks toward you or another person, simply ignore them. I know this is a lesson we learned in grade school, but we could all use a refresher course sometimes. Feel free to lash out at me as much as you wish, but let that be it.
Once again, I'd like to thank the many posters who contribute positive, helpful advice on the boards. Whether you are a newcomer or old timer, we appreciate your input and support. Hopefully, your willingness to help will wear off on everyone who visits the site now and in the future.
Thanks for your cooperation!
