Alex; I hope that you did not interpret my response as "snippy". To answer your question, no; the 2005 convention date or host hotel has not yet been set. I would also like to add to my response that what is convenient for the Convention Chairman who does the bulk of the work should be the first consideration on the choice of dates.... wouldn't you agree?
