Hello Norm
Many do not know how a machine % really works....Not only is the Hold (keep) taken into consideration but the other MAIN factor is the Hit frequency. That means the % of plays that you receive something back.
Each Slot Director has the decision to make as to which program they select (a combo of hit freq and hold % and # of stops which is a trade off!!!. The OLD STRIKE MACHINE ONLY HAD ONE PROGRAM....
Another "adjustment in the new games involves the number of Stops the game has. With the new video and stepper motor games it usually varies from 64 stops per reel to 256!!! Do the math as in a 3 reel game with 64 stops, the big one theoritically would go off at 64x64x64 on the 3 reel game. Now compare that number to 256x256x256!!!!! (usually a machine giving away a car has 256 stops per reel. Wide area progressives are Virtual stop games...In other worde what you see is not really what you get!!!
