The Silver Legacy is real nice and right downtown Reno.You can walk from casino to casino downtown but not too many hotels with strikes. You will need a car in the Reno/Tahoe/Sparks area.
We have found in Reno the hotel is not important. We spend most of our time going from one casino to another playing for strikes. One day in Tahoe, another in Virginia City, Sparks for Sierra Sids.
This trip we are staying at Boomtown because they have comped us. We also like Peppermill and would probably stay there if the opportunity arises.
