Your case point was someone who pled guilty to a crime you contend doesn't exist. WHich is strange because then the police had to charge him with a crime that didn't exist. It seems you should be his defense attorney and give up on casino collectibles.

A couple of people have posted a nice bunch of messages full of rumors and NOTHING from Gaming in the form of a regulation or memo or anything, but you want me to asnwer whether it's illegal for one of us to take a chip or token home based on a phone conversation with someone who will deny that conversation took place (if it indeed did?) and rumors upon rumors.

The crux is the regulation comes from the fact that the US Government saw making casino tokens as minting money. After a negotiation, it was decided that if the tokens were only used for gaming and nothing else it wasn't minting coins.

Apply the same logic to chips which are actually checks, a promise for the casino to pay the holder the money. Valid only at the issuing casino, no other casino, nowhere else.

Now please Norm, go read Regulation 12, it's only five pages long. If you are still amazed, drop me a note, it's boring people here and taking up space to watch use having fun.

Note also that according to someone else who has contacted gaming, almost none of the rumors that have been posted on this BB and elsewhere are true. Strikes are not a thing of the past, all $200 tokens are not banned in the future, casinos can issue new rack chips if approved.

The decision by Four Queens was not as a result of the regulation, but an ownership decision.

Doesn't that start you wondering and being more amazed, that most of the rumors, gloom and doom, came from only two people?

Show me some evidence of the new regulation that was announced by Mark and David? Got a link to it, or a copy of it? Why would the people who work at other csinos still have no word on this.
