People just LOVE to use whatever catalog that has the highest price in it,
regardless of the actual current market conditions.
I just talked with Art Becker. At one time, years ago, he had these two
strikes listed as low as $50 & $100 respectively. These prices were based on
actual sales and dealer lists. Later, based on other eBay sales, he raised
the S strike to $100 also. In his next edition, which comes out in a few
weeks (how many other authors update their catalogs as frequently as he
does?), he will list them at $80 and $135. These are honest prices, based on
the current market, as opposed to the overpriced imaginary "list" or "book"
figures that the speculators love to quote.
