Paris submitted strike designs before opening but were disapproved by Gaming because they looked too much like French currency. They then dropped their interest.
Castaways got artwork months ago but never approved it.
The Palms has a club member, Gene Trimble, on their staff, as (I think) Poker Room manager. Gene was largely if not completely responsible for Fiesta's chip program. He posted on www.thechipboard.com that there were no strikes at the Palms.
Perhaps the failure to perfect the new machines has something to do with all of this. After all, Caesars and NYNY are just waiting for the new machines, and the Hard Rock supposedly became impatient and pulled out the old machines after waiting for the new model.
