Re: Serious question for TOM
In Response To: Serious question for TOM ()

There is little known about the Bally's souvenir crossed flags token. It is of strike design yet no cash value. Quantity is unknown. Distribution is unknown. There is always the story of high roller gifts. We may never known. Value? $20-$50. I've seen them sell in this range.

One may always start the auction at the desired price or use a reserve. These are the legal methods. I would never start an auction less than face value without a reserve. One can justify anything. It is wrong and illegal to shill bid. Judges hear excuses all day long. There are very few legitimate reasons to break the law. Although enforcement is next to nill one could be prosecuted for shill bidding. The expected thing to happen would be the closing of your account. Start another account. I've seen it many times. Just as an aside also ending bad auctions ( Not bringing a high enough price ) early to avoid reserve fees is another violation of ebay rules. Sound familiar? Why not give your buddy a couple of bucks for the appropriate fees or list it for him. It may even bring a higher price being offered by a striker known to be of good character.
