Your explaination didn't make much sense to me.
All the casinos listed are still operating casinos except the temporary closed Horseshoe.
I would think the main reason for removing the machines was not enough play. This was probably caused by Anchor Gaming selling the strikes to the casinos in quantities of 1750. Too many for strikes for too few collectors. After collectors got their strike or set of strikes they needed for their collection the machines become dormant. No need for maintenance.
Now what is upsetting the collectors about the Four Queens? They want the same thing that ruined these strike programs. More strikes, more strikes, more strikes.
I look for the Palms to issue a lower mintage $200 to boost their program a little.
