I forgot to mention that I chatted with Don Hallmark at the Palms. IGT shot down any more cars and a train series he submittted. It seeems IGT legal says that these (and presumably planes too) violate copyright laws. Don has sent a letter to Ford asking permission. At the start of the horse racing season, the Palms will issue a new Funny Cide series, including a 200.
BeckyM65-lay off Slots A Fun. They now know the reverse plating was a bad idea. But, they got that from a collector. They did well with their Christmas 200, didn't they?
Larry Trostle-Some slot managers like us (El Cortez, Plaza, Las Vegas Club, Palms, Four Queens, Slots A Fun.) Others (Caesars World and a few others) woulod just as soon we didn't exist. They really don't like us. Others are new (New Frontier) and/or don't even know we exist. Some have met some of us when we were demanding swaps at the cage and don't want to see us back in their casino. Some like to run the program without any help from us. Remember, they are running a big business and silver strikes aren't very high on the list of moneymakers. The current machines have been a real nuisance from the standpoint of labor and maintenance. It si up to eacj striker to educate and be diplomatic, at least as far as humanly possible. Remember, there are so many casinos, so many personnel changes, it is a big job. But, the (former) Chapter is making progress. And when I said the New Frontier cashiers were buying the $200 strikes, I meant for their bank or drawer, not for personal ownership.
