The most difficult thing I have had to watch recently is to see my wife who has worked so hard to promote the hobby of Silver Striking get stiffed out of getting her Christmas $200 strike by greedy dealers. One dealer had at least 10 hired people stand in line as he passed out the $10 strikes to them so they could get a 200.00 strike. The individules did not even know what they were getting when they got the 200.00 strike. One was admonished when he opened the box to look at what he stood in line for.
Sharon had checked with Mark on Sunday to see what she had to do to get the Christmas strike. There was no mention of a sign up line until we got there in the Morning after driving up from Laughlin. In other words they change the rules for the benefit of the Las Vegas Clique of dealers. I have watched Sharon Spend countless hours working to promote the hobby. Right now she is extremely hurt and is evaluating whether of not she should continue in a hobby that is being controlled and manipulated by a few in Las Vegas. I cannot see a Casino continue serving the hobby if they are going to create so much hard feeling for thier customers. Downtown Vegas is in trouble right now with the closing of Binnions and for the Four Queens to create such hard feelings with thier customers is a poor business practice. It's 4 o clock in the morning and Sharon is sleeping but I couldn't so I had to get this off my mind.
