Just got back from Artichoke Joe's Casino in San Bruno, CA. They are in the process of distributing their once-a-year silver strike giveaway, a Year of the Monkey strike. Since this is really a card room and not a casino, they don't have any slot machines. They give card players the strike as a Chinese New Year gift.

Although they were supposed to start distributing these today and planned for the giveaway to last 2-3 days, they actually started last night and don't have that many left. So for those of you in the San Francisco Bay Area, you should call ahead and see if they still have them, and then be sure to ask one of the managers there for one...since they are running low, they are only giving them to players who know enough to ask for them.
