I was hoping someone smarter and better informed than I would answer, but you get stuck with me.
The solid silver strikes are usually $7 strikes, which are no longer being made or used in machines. (there are some other values that are without the rim) The $7 strike has a silver value of under $3 by weight.
The ones with the gold colored rim are mostly $10 strikes. Which have real silver centers. Although listed as Limited Edition, they are often made with a minimum Qty. of 500. The silver value is somewhere around $3 a strike.
Then there are the $200 strikes that can be won by trading in 20 $10 strikes, made in Qtys of 100 and up. That's pretty limited.
There are $20 and $40 strikes, let someone else explain those.
