You can buy the airtight with or without the ring. For instance, Tiny Treasures calls the ones without the ring "Direct Fit". But they are slightly different than the ones from the machines (although they are the same size). While the strikes originally come in a plastic holder that has a small indentation/hole on the side for easy opening, they are reputedly not air tight. The airtights that you buy don't have the hole for easy opening, but are supposedly air tight to prevent tarnishing. If you just want a handful of the original strike holders, let me know. Most folks on this board have lots of spares from replacing them with airtights.
