I don't think the club is directly involved with this tournament, but if not, it sure should have been. I don't know much about the expenses of running a tournament, but rough calculations make it look like there's $30M in profit floating around in this one. The club could've used some of that. Does any one know how much "take" the casino usually gets in a slot tournament?
Whether or not the club was involved, I think it should have been it's duty to provide a free mailing list, in this case, to assure that it's own members would get first chance to register, but in it's defense, they did send out a special report October 1. By the time members received it though, there were only 20-25 spots left, but a few days ago there were still 16 spots left, so any one who really wanted to register should have been able to.
Like you, Walt, I was getting so many advance e-mails about the tournament, that I started deleting a bunch of them. Do you suppose being Ebay frequenters got us on that advance list? I doubt if I could have been on any one's select list.
