I received a direct email from a collector who said there were going to be 200 to 250 of the $40 strikes and that the entrants would play for them but it seems to me that there would be extras left over depending on how many spots there are in the tournament.
I didn't enter the tournament but I would think the price was a bit high since you have to play a $10 strike machine to win 4 to trade for the $40 and the prize money and spots paid didn't seem to be that great, I have played in slot tournaments several times and they paid back to1/3 to 1/2 of the number of entries.
In any case it should be fun for everybody there.
