As you can see there is a difference of opinion here. I am still uncertain.

Here's both sides the seller has pictured.

I am not sure myself as usually the $40 tokens contain gold plating on the centers somewhere. To me this one looks like the ordinary $10 tokens with an outer brass ring.

Does your $40's have any gold plating in the centers and is there any mention of 24K HGE?

The seller's pictures are not the greatest so I can't be too sure there isn't any gold plating on the center portions.
