Playing for strikes is the best way to go. Sometimes you can clean up and get some inexpensive traders. Sometimes you might hit a cold streak and pay more than face.

If you want tokens from the other slots, you just need to put in the money and instead of playing, hit the Cash Out button, and there you are. I'd suggest putting in a $10 bill, cash out, without playing, and pick the best token. Then you can go to the cage and turn in the extras for your $9 back.

In the larger casinos, you will not find as many Foreigns (tokens from other casinos) but when I was at Whiskey Pete's and some of the smaller casinos out of town I found cruise ship tokens and some from riverboats. The casinos pull these as soon as they are brought to the cage, but if people are bringing them along and playing, the casino has no control.

Newer coin receptors, might have changed this. But the point is, if you play slots, take the time to look at every token, you might find old ones or some from other casinos.
