The fire has already burned the perimeter of our town in Simi Valley. Nothing but black to look at here. We were lucky though to only have 6 homes burned to the ground. The fire came about 100 yards from where I work. It was very scary around here for a few days. My house has a 1/4 inch layer of ash from the Piru, Simi and Stevenson Ranch fires. The smoke from all three fires came to Simi Valley and settled here. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those still battling these fires.
