As I said in my first post... If I know my max bid for an item - I will submit it and wait.... if I'm willing to get it for top dollar and bid $100 for a 5c item then I will just have to hope that your hypothetical 'skip' bidder didn't hurt me too much...

If I bid more than I'm willing to pay its my fault. Yes, there have been several times that I could have gotten an item if I'd bid just a dollar more but I don't indulge myself in bidding wars.

Still don't understand the five minute thing though...
