Vegasplayer - Here is something else to think about that I didn't know was possible until it happened to me on a deal, all forms of payment including cashiers checks, money orders and of coarse personal checks can have a stop payment put on them, heck a buyer can even say that they used a credit card and didn't get their stuff and have the charge reversed leaving it up to the seller to prove otherwise. In my case it was a cashiers check that my bank holds until it has cleared. This is the only time I ever had it happen but it makes a person beware unless the buyer is somebody he has delt with before.
