to quote VegasPlayer and reply to his questions:
"my only goal is to BRING strikes UP in value."
Artificial price support?
"the cheaper you can buy these means people will think that the tuffer strikes are worth less ."
They are worth less if you and a few others are just bidding them up. Most people have already figured out that "tuffer" strikes are over priced.
"do you want to keep the value up ?"
Value is fine, prices are high.
"do you want to lose thousands of $$$ you have invested in your collection."
I can't lose, because I collect what I like. It isn't an investment, it's a collection.
"i will bid prices up weather i need the strike or not."
That sure proves that prices are not what others will pay, but what you want them to be. Nice of you to warn potential buyers and collectors that you are attempting to inflate prices and promote price fixing.
When public business do this type of thing, the Dept. of Justice gets involved and fines them.
Ever hear of a free market, where the prices are based on what people are willing to pay, not a monopoly or price interference by someone trying to fix prices?
"i will bid prices up weather i need the strike or not." Thanks for warning everyone in advance, including potential new collectors...
