I'll try to explain myself one more time, and hope it makes sense?

From the casino's view, if they produce an item and they all sell fast, it's a success. Their goal is profit, not pleasing collectors or storing inventory. Nothing wrong from a strict business standpoint.

Since the casino produces low numbers, in some instances, people who happen to live in the area, have seen fit to make a business out of buying and supplying tokens to the collectors. Most collectors would not be able to obtain a LE strike, if their were not dealers. So I can't blame the Las Vegas dealers for making the best of a situation. (I will say they could make a little less profit, if they were to support their claim that they are helping people and providing a "service")

What I can do, and what it appears some others have decided as well, is collect things I like and not those where the supply is artificially controlled or manipulated.

If you don't like what Casino X is doing with their chips/strikes/LEs or anything else, just don't participate, give your business to someone else. No one is forcing us to collect anything. I collect what I can enjoy and designs that I like.

The point is, that I can't do anything about the situation, so I avoid being part of what feeds it.

By the way, New Issue Services do provide a true collectors service at a set rate and make a minimal profit from their assistance to collectors. I've never been to Atlantic City and probably never will. If it wasn't for services and dealers there, I'd have no way of getting the items.

People can't go to Las Vegas (or whererver) every time a new chip or token comes out, so it's a dealers place to provide them and assist collectors.

If you think someone is charging too much, somehow controlling an release of something, or unfairly dealing, don't support them. It oply helps the artificial demand with inflated prices.
