Skip,
I am hearing more and more dealers and collectors using StrikeValues.com. They mention it as the only place where we strikers can get the real "skinny" on what strikes are truly selling for. The books are a fantastic information source but we all know their prices are only ballpark guides and more a reference guide for the industry. I spoke with a number of folks at the Reno show, in particular, that use strikevalues.com to price their strikes in lieu of the books.
What ever makes you happy, I say, it just keeps me from getting burned as I can't watch every sale everywhere to see how certain strikes I don't have, or don't follow, are doing. It is worth the couple bucks a month in the trades I do alone as it is particularly helpful when doing small or large size trades so the values are clearly available for both parties so there is much less "dickering".
