Another Rumor Example
In Response To: TOO LATE! ()

Based on the principle that it takes no time at all for a silver strike RUMOR to be accepted as FACT, especially by those who stand to make a profit from it, here is another example.

When the Four Queens Millennium designs were issued, the strike machine started malfunctioning, and was soon removed. FastEddie, one of Norm's associates, started selling these "rare" strikes, on jackfraud, using all kinds of outrageous lies, to get big money for them.

The truth, which always comes out eventually, was that the strikes were all sold, at the cage, for face value! None were returned to the mint for scrap. Who profited the most from the rumors that he, himself started? The seller, of course.
