As clearly stated in Usage Policy, at the top of the index page of this message board, "This message board was established for the use of club members, non-club members, chapter members and non-chapter members for promoting the hobby as well as exchanging and disseminating information."

No matter how much you lie about it, this is not your private silver strike board, it is not the club's private silver strike board, and it is not the chapter's private silver strike board. As Greg’s official policy says above, it is open to anyone! You know full well (or should know, being a lawyer, and since the forum’s rules are publicly available) that people posting messages do not have to be a member of any club or chapter in order to do so.
You certainly are lying about the Constitution and free speech. What kind of a lawyer doesn’t know that the Constitution only protects people from government interference with free speech? What government agency is interfering with the free speech on this message board? It was you who helped start the board so that you could say (or, more correctly, sell) anything you wanted. Now that the exact same reasons you started this board are coming back to bite you on the butt, you have the nerve to say that there shouldn't be "free speech" after all. What a hypocrite!
Did you lie like this when you were practicing law? Did it help you win your cases to distort the truth to “prove” whatever point you were trying to make? Is it OK to lie if you have your fingers crossed behind your back? Is a “white lie” OK? Or did you figure that nobody else will read the Usage Policy, and just take your word for it?
For you to lie, and then try to hide behind the Constitution, is most despicable of all.
You talk about chasing away prospective members and collectors. This might be a better idea than you realize, given all the offensive behavior that occurs here. Newbies are almost always treated like fresh meat, ready to be raped for profit.
What about the board do you consider offensive? Cursing? Pornography? Threats? Or does “offensive” just mean anything that YOU don’t want to hear, no matter how truthful it is?
Deliberately lying is offensive. People who lie should be kicked off the board.
Threats are offensive. Do you think are they only offensive when your enemies make them, but your friends can say anything they want? Is it OK for your good friend Kirk to repeatedly threaten Tom? Kirk should be kicked off the forum for repeated threats.
Shill bidding is offensive. However, any number of people here continue to welcome with open arms the one person kicked off Jackpot Auctions (twice), and kicked out of the chapter, for obvious shill bidding. This offensive behavior should get people kicked off the message board.
Paying stooges to monopolize strike machines during special runs is offensive. This offensive behavior should get people kicked off the forum.
Trying to rape collectors by manipulating the market in new-issue $200 strikes is offensive. This offensive behavior should get people kicked off the forum.
Constantly spamming the board with “for sale,” “auction starting,” “auction running,” and “auction ending soon” messages is offensive. Spamming should get people kicked off the forum.
Obvious unrealistic lowball bottom-feeder bidding on auctions to be offensive. Your name is usually on the bottom of many bidder lists, as is Kirk’s. This offensive behavior should get people kicked off the forum.
Or are you actually in favor of all this offensive behavior?
Finally, let’s discuss Tom. Does he lie, cheat, steal, spam, pay stooges, rape newbies, threaten people, use shill bidders, manipulate markets, or make lowball bottom-feeder bids, all in the name of profit? Of course not. Probably that’s why Tom is so “offensive” to those who do.
What Tom does do is point out interesting items on eBay to those collectors who might otherwise not have noticed. That’s called helping. What Tom does is more in keeping with the stated goals of this message board than what so many other people do. Naturally, all the weasels hate him for it.
