Norman-the point is that this trash is on OUR bulletin board and reflects on OUR Chapter and Club. If this isn't the "Official Message Board of the Silver Strikers Chapter", then anything goes, like on the thechipboard.com. (Incidentally, Greg deletes some posts on that board.) But do we as a Chapter really want potential members and visitors to think we are the posters of these offensive and threatening messages or that they reflect the attitude of the Chapter?
I revere free speech and spent most of my professional life defending the guarantees provided to us in our Constitution. But there are limits as to time and place to exercise those freedoms. Pickets are allowed to spread their messages, however unpopular, in places open to the public but not in private places.
And by the way, threats have never been deemed protected speech.
