With great relief, I just received a telephone call from Donna Killman's mother. As many of you have heard, Donna, who handles Anchor's strike program, was out with a burst appendix for late June and early July. But, every cloud has a silver lining. The doctors were able to detect a tumor on her kidney which they believed was malignant. After some tests and some time to recuperate from the appendix episode, the operation was performed today and looks like a success. The doctors only took about half the affected kidney, which is a good sign. Also, no radiation or chemotherapy is scheduled.
Donna is resting at Mountain View Hospital. I think the hospital has a Vegas address but I'm not 100% certain. It is expected that she will be off from work for about six weeks.
I'm sure any prayers, good thoughts and well-wishes would be appreciated.
