I have no Strikes, but I used to attempt to clean my US Proof coins. No matter how carefully I tried, the cleaning left marks on the coins' face. It didn't matter if I rubbed it or not or I just dipped-it; each case was a disaster. I should have left them alone; even the oxidized specimens. My advice is to leave them alone. Good luck !
