What strikes cost to win and what they are ultimately worth may be very different amounts. The number of stories at the Convention of $100 bills only winning two strikes was common, yet the strikes are not worth $50 because that is what they cost to win. They are worth about $12 because probably 1,750 were minted...the same with the Blues...base your price or value on mintage, not on cost.
