Ideally, a silver strike collector can find another collector to sell his no longer wanted strikes to. When that fails, there are only a couple of alternatives. Leave the entire collection behind for your heirs to worry about disposing (chances are they will dump them) ... or dump them yourself and enjoy whatever financial rewards are forthcoming after you have received all the years of enjoyment and personal satisfaction and friendships made as a silver strike collector. Someone once said that we never really own the things we collect. We are just temporary custodians. Somewhere along the line, eventually, someone else is going to own them... and it may very well be that coin dealer down the road who is going to melt them for silver value ... like old family heirlooms before them.
